Phil Lockwood
Phil Lockwood's recording studio is a wall of blinking lights, knobs, sliders--and records. A natural musician, with talents on the trumpet as well as keys and guitar, Phil is best known in the Bay Area for his feats on the turntables, where he spins a mix of soulful house and tribal beats.

Based in Oakland, California, Phil has been DJ'ing the west coast for the past 10 years and producing dance music for the past 12 years. He has spun beside many international dj's, including Moontribe, Jason Blakemore, Clement Vache, and Forest Green. One of the original organizers of Vibrant and of the club Plush, he has also spun at The San Francisco Love Parade, Burning Man, Syntonic, Triple Power, Bianca's, Vision, Qöol, and Rhythm Society.

Phil draws on a variety of styles including funk, ska, gospel, soul, jazz, and rock. Some of his many influences include Lonnie Liston Smith, Sly and the Family Stone, Guidance, Murk, and the Orb. His website can be seen here.

Keith Walton
Born and raised in England, Keith's affinity for dance music started at an early age. While his mates "pogo'd" to the Sex Pistols or did the "grease" to AC/CD, Keith ran the gauntlet of ridicule, cutting a lonely figure on the dancefloor, a self-concious teenager shuffling around to the sounds of War, Chic, and Earth, Wind & Fire.

By the time he left London in 1988 (just missing the birth of the new rave scene), Keith had all but given up clubbing, becoming disillusioned with the emphasis on drinking and fighting. Five dark years in Los Angeles were spent growing his design business, but when he re-located his business to San Francisco in 1994, a re-awakening of his love affair with dance music followed. He was introduced to "Wicked" and "Come-Unity" parties, and outdoor events such as "Tribal Future" and "Sunset." Life was never the same thereafter.

Over the years Keith had failed miserably attempting to play various musical instruments. Luckily, DJ'ing came easier to him and he set about honing his skills at underground parties in the city, notably the numerous Syntonic and Vibrant affairs, as well as many notorious warehouse parties of his own. The birth of Visualize and the opportunity to produce music is the next chapter of his musical story.

Keith lives in the city of San Francisco with his wife and four cats.
